Is AceMyHomework a scam?

I don't know if you have heard about a site called AceMyHomework.com.  My sister who goes to college told me about it.  She said that they had scholars on there who could help with homework for only $1.  Of course, my first reaction to that was that this site was probably a scam.  She insisted that she had gotten help from the site multiple times and that it was kosher. This got me very intrigued and decided to check it out.
Now, I am a very cynical person and am able to spot a scam from a mile away so I was VERY skeptical that legit scholars would be doing work for only $1 for students.  I mean who in their right mind would solve a math problem for only $1.  I logged onto the site and posted a $1 project fully thinking this was some scam.  What happened shocked me! Some scholar actually did the work for only $1.  And, to make it even crazier, the scholar messaged me asking me if I needed any further assistance understanding the problem.  I am not one to praise but holy moly, this was a good website.  It turns out the website uses the concept of crowdsourcing by pooling scholars from all over the world.  This makes it so that scholars who have free time can log on to the site and make money simply by helping with homework. The other cool thing is that if you like a scholar, you can ask them to help you with more complex projects as well. This involves doing an escrow payment which can be released by you only when you are satisfied with the work.  I am thoroughly impressed with the site and if you have any misgivings about it, I would suggest to give it a shot.  At best, you find a place where you can get awesome scholars to help you with homework and at worse, you lose $1.
